The Community and Senior Services Division is housed at the Jack Crippen Multipurpose Senior Center, which is a one-stop multipurpose center and focal point where services provided by licensed professional staff, volunteers and outside agencies are available.
The Division’s goal is to help individuals’ age-in-place by providing valuable and caring services at the Multipurpose Senior Center and in the home. The Center is open to anyone 50 years of age or older but certain activities and services have age restrictions.
The Los Angeles County Department of Senior and Community Services has designated the City of El Monte Multipurpose Senior Center as a focal point on aging for the dissemination of multi-purpose information about services available to older adults in the community. As such, the Jack Crippen Multipurpose Senior Center has become a highly visible and accessible facility where everyone can obtain information and have access to a variety of services ranging from leisure programs, health care, nutrition, legal advice, social services and consumer advocacy. For families, the Center serves as a focal point and resource that supports their efforts in caring for an aging relative or friend.
The Jack Crippen Multipurpose Senior Center / Community and Senior Services Division is committed to serving as a hub in the community spotlighting its concern for its older adults and families.
