Community Relations

Community Relations consists of the following units and programs:
 
CHAPLAINS
 
Your El Monte Police Chaplains are available to respond to your needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will provide spiritual, emotional, and moral support whenever requested.
 
 
The Citizens’ Academy is a 7-week program that takes you inside the El Monte Police Department for a closer look at police operations and programs designed to serve and protect the community.
 
COMMUNITY RELATIONS 
 
The Community Relations Office offers services that are accessible to the community including “challenged youth” and their families.
 
SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS 
 
A total of 6 police officers are currently dedicated full-time to the schools within our El Monte community.
 
VOLUNTEERS
 
If you have ever had an interest to become an El Monte Police Department Volunteer, now is the time!
 
 
TORCH
 
The T.O.R.C.H Academy (Teaching Obedience Respect Courage and Honor), our most successful youth intervention program.
