The El Monte Police Department’s Parking Enforcement Unit is an essential part of the Department’s Neighborhood Services Program.
Parking Enforcement Officers patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations. Officers also respond to parking complaints, prepare written reports, deploy the speed board, store and impound stolen and abandoned vehicles, enforce previously-marked abandoned vehicles, and direct traffic.
Parking Enforcement Officers also assist with special events, such as safety checkpoints, DUI patrols, and any other events related to traffic safety.
If you want to report a parking violation that is currently occurring, please call the Police Department’s Dispatch Center at (626) 580-2100.
If you have a complaint or want to report a parking violation or problem that is not currently occurring but needs to be addressed, please call the parking enforcement hotline at (626) 580-2275.
